Starting out in Media can sometimes feel like you’ve jumped into the deep end of the pool and forgot you can’t swim. If only you could rely on someone to show you a killer freestyle stroke and turn you into an Olympic medal-worthy swimmer.

Well, think of NGEN as that someone. And the Media Survival Guide is the best squad training in town.

This session is run by NGEN committee members with 3+ years’ experience and it is designed to help our industry young guns (that’s YOU) learn the ‘basics’ and survive your first year in the industry.

You will also hear from two industry leaders who will impart their tips and advice based on their own personal experiences when starting out in media.

What our NGENers had to say in 2020:

  • " Loved this session! Overall I thought this session was extremely beneficial for people who wanted to jump and be proactive in taking the next steps in their career. Was great to hear their experience in the industry and how they tackled challenges and what they learnt from it! "
  • " This was my favourite NGEN seminar so far. Every speaker had great presence and wonderful advice. And I didn't feel like it was rushed and each presenter actually elaborated with the advice and gave you moments to let it sink in "
  • " This session was just what I needed! After starting my first ever media role 3 weeks prior to the COVID lockdown and working from home ever since -it was great to hear from other people in similar positions to myself. All of the speakers were highly knowledgeable,
